With support from Wiseman Education, Cultural Agent Helen Saarniit implemented Pre-Texts (also called Literature Out Loud) at the Ho Lap Primary School in Hong Kong from June 26 to August 3, 2012. During the 6-week program, nineteen 2nd and 3rd graders ages 7 to 9 participated in 2-hour workshops 5 days a week in addition to learning English through the Wiseman Education online program Fun-n-Friends. They used the following texts: The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry; Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss; The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain; and All My Great Excuses by Kenn Nesbitt.
