Project Teach is an early college awareness program that demystifies college and creates awareness that higher education can be a reachable, affordable and achievable aspiration.

A collaboration between local urban public school systems, Harvard College, and Harvard University’s Office of Public Affairs and Communications, Project Teach aims to motivate youth to think about college by exposing them to the possibility of higher education, and by better preparing them to enter that world.

The Project Teach model uses a research-based approach that focuses on communicating college and career goals, sharing resources, developing partnerships between students and colleges, and involving families.

Pre-Texts was among the selection of short “classes” offered to visiting students. Prof. Doris Sommer facilitated the workshop and participants used the Pre-Texts methodology to play with the text The Two Kings and the Two Labyrinths by Jorge Luis Borges.
