A Pre-Texts workshop was held in Baltimore, Maryland as part of the 2015 Imagining America Conference. Educators from around the country joined Paul Tritter (Boston Teachers Union) and Lisa Crossman (Cultural Agents Initiative) for an interactive workshop to learn about Pre-Texts as an effective and innovative approach to teaching. Participants worked and played with the text A Letter to My Nephew by James Baldwin.
The theme of the conference was America Will Be! The Art and Power of “Weaving Our We” and it was hosted by UMBC, and co-sponsored by MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art) and Morgan State University.
