In January 2018, Prof. Doris Sommer represented Harvard DRCLAS as a faculty member of the Global Leaders Program, organized in collaboration with the Youth Orchestra of the Americas (YOA), Chile Chapter. Professor Sommer’s four-day workshop “Cultural Agency: Arts, Process, and Innovation” took place in the Teatro del Lago, Frutillar, Chile. The Global Leaders Program is a collaborative effort that works with an annual cohort of 35 global leader students formed as change-makers in music with international social initiatives.
Doris Sommer and Adriana Gutierrez also facilitated a Pre-Texts workshop with Carl Sagan’s Cosmos.
