The Latin American Studies Association [LASA] will feature Pre-Texts workshops during the May 26-30 Conference in Paris to demonstrate an innovative approach to teaching literacy and leadership. Grounded in the liberatory pedagogical traditions of Montessori, Vasconcelos, Dewey, Freire, and Mistral, among others, the methodology reframes leadership as facilitation and collaboration rather than competition. Participants engage in shared reading, artistic interpretation, reflective dialogue, and exploratory connections across disciplines.
