Project Teach is an early college awareness program that demystifies college and creates awareness that higher education can be a reachable, affordable and achievable aspiration.

A collaboration between local urban public school systems, Harvard College, and Harvard University’s Office of Public Affairs and Communications, Project Teach aims to motivate youth to think about college by exposing them to the possibility of higher education, and by better preparing them to enter that world.

The Project Teach model uses a research-based approach that focuses on communicating college and career goals, sharing resources, developing partnerships between students and colleges, and involving families.

On October 17th, Harvard PhD candidates and Cultural Agents collaborators, Elena Fratto and Amy Fish, facilitated a Pre-Texts workshop for a group of seventh graders and chaperones. They used an excerpt from Prometheus Bound by Aeschylus.

On Oct. 24th, Lisa Crossman and Harvard PhD candidate Amy Fish facilitated a Pre-Texts workshop for a group of ninth graders from Brighton High School, using an excerpt from Prometheus Bound by Aeschylus.

The workshops were part of Harvard’s Project Teach program, which brings students from Boston Public Schools to Harvard.
