In the fall of 2010, Cultural Agents led a one-day Pre-Texts conference (formerly Paper Picker Press) that convened local and international organizations to share their experiences with the Pre-Texts program. The aim of the conference was to provide the organizations participating in the three-year grant with the opportunity to meet and interact with other local and international Pre-Texts projects. By bringing together different organizations, Cultural Agents aimed to initiate a dialogue on experiences, findings, methods, and approaches that will promote future developments of Pre-Texts.
Local organizations include, the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center, Inquilinos Boricuas en Accion, Zumix, Brazilian American Association, Chelsea Boys and Girls Clubs, Agassiz Elementary School, Thomas Gardner School, James A. Garfield Elementary School, Sociedad Latina, West End House, Winship Elementary School, Maverick Landing Community Center, Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center, and the Institute of Contemporary Arts among others.
